Are you like me? Did the name change of the SciFi Channel rub you the wrong way? Still can't “get over it?” Does their bastardization of the genre SciFi make you want to bitch-slap someone every time their new logo flashes on the TV screen? Then this is the place for you.
While I am the creator of this community I believe that there many out there with an equal or stronger drives than myself in this matter, I just beat them to the punch.
I envision this community as a place where like minded people will exchange ideas and formulate plans on how to best intelligently communicate that this misplaced marketing idea should be abandoned. None of the greats wrote SyFy, they wrote SciFi and were damn proud of it!
It's SciFi and the geeks that consume it that truly breathe life into it and the idiots at that Channel need to be reminded of this fact!

ADV 'Scape Sale, anyone else not hear from them for 2+ weeks?
Referring to this post
, on the 5th of December..
I totally snatched up the 3rd and 4th season, dropping $114 on the spot. I love me some farscape. I got an email from ADV saying that my "order has been successfully submitted", but I havn't heard anything back since. I shot them a polite email on the 17th, asking if there were any status updates, and not nothing in return. I just (today, the 25th) shot them another email, hoping that in the coming week (3rd week now) that I might get some sort of response out of them.
Is anyone else having difficulty with ADV?

What the Frell is an earthling to do?
After watching the PeaceKeeper's War, I started thinking back on all the episodes of Farscape that I've seen and I find myself with the following comparison.
I feel like Creighton. Lost in a strange land, far away from everything that is familiar to you. The people who knew who you were are not around anymore, so everything you do or say seems strange to those you just met. In fact, while some like you, most hate you, and they all think you are crazy. And even though you long to go back home, keep searching for what is familiar, you know you can never really go back, for those you left behind wont understand where you've been and if you try to explain it, they will think you are crazy too. So you continue on where your at, trying to make the best of a horrible situation and hope that one day you will be at peace.
So, let me end this rant by saying to the SCI/FI Network, "Please bring back the only show that made me feel like there was someone out there who understands how I feel, even if it is only for an hour a week."

Anyone driving from (or through) Kansas to Dragon Con to see our beloved cast members that would be willing to give me and my guitar a ride? I will happily chip in for gas and perform manual labor.

"Hello, you may have seen the reports of a possible Farscape related press conference set for tomorrow (11/13), at TVGuide.com, Dark Horizons or Cinescape. The word from Henson as of 2:30 pm pacific time (11/12), is that any press conference has been postponed indefinitely and that they have no further information on the situation. "

From Dark Horizons
:Farscape (TV): The cancelled but highly acclaimed Sci-Fi Channel series which had its plug pulled earlier this year may be making a comeback. Last week an insider sent along this rumour: "Farscape is back in production - the series is to be wrapped up in 4-6 new episodes with the usual crew, cast and producers. The props and sets are being dusted off and are being assembled in preparation for filming in Sydney. The new mini-season will complete the story arc and bring closure". An interesting story and a solid source but still it sounded almost like wishful thinking and as there still hasn't been any official announcement about it I held off. After all, you would've thought Sci-Fi would have shouted it from the rooftops that its coming back to appease the ravenous fans of the show (incl. me). Then some people I know connected with the show started mentioning it's coming back and its confirmed that the Sydney production office is open again. I placed three separate calls to them on Tuesday to confirm/deny the rumours and all three calls were not only summarily cut off at their end but the secretary hurled nasty insults (courtesy is a dying art) - I've never had problems with these guys before so best guess would be they've been advised not to speak to press at all (which would explain the lack of coverage locally). That would also explain that when I got in contact with a US publicity rep for Sci-Fi, they said they couldn't comment on it at this time but will be releasing details when they're available soon. Something IS stirring, I guess we'll have to wait to find out what exactly.
